Two Old Ladies

While we were in the crowded market area of Brussels, we had been warned by our tour director to watch our purses, etc. Suddenly Shirlee and I were surrounded by a group of about 6 or 7 teen aged boys. This really startled us until we realized that they were trying to get us to understand through gestures, some French and a little English that they needed to take a picture of one old lady for a school assignment (I guess, sort of like a camera scavenger hunt). So we posed for their photo. So they got a photo of two old ladies instead of one and then I let them know that I wanted to take their picture so this is the photo above. This was a fun experience for us.

Castles Along the Rhine Riverboat Trip

Marksburg Castle along the Rhine. It was never destroyed by war or seige. We traveled by bus to near the top then had to walk up a steep ramp into the castle. What a rugged way to live!
